Thanksgiving in Texas
Our journey to Houston was more than just a trip — it was a cultural deep dive into sports, tradition, and Texan spirit.
We stayed in a beautiful house tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, complete with a pool, barbecue, and a fire pit where we spent long evenings under the stars. From late-night chats and jam sessions with a basketball bouncing nearby to grilling together by the pool, the house quickly became the heart of our group.
We lived the excitement of American sports: an electrifying Houston Rockets game during the NBA In-Season Tournament and an unforgettable Senior Night with the Houston Cougars football team. The energy was contagious, and the emotions ran deep.
Texas gave us plenty of adrenaline too — from a shooting range session to a classic BBQ joint with a Ferris wheel, laughter, smoky flavors, and neon lights filling the night. We kept moving with pickup basketball and tennis matches.
Thanksgiving became a highlight. Around a shared table of traditional Texan flavors, we exchanged gratitude before joining the vibrant Houston Thanksgiving Parade that connected us to American culture and to each other.
The true magic was in the spontaneous moments: bonfire talks, helping each other through jet lag, and creating bonds that went far beyond basketball or sightseeing.
Houston didn’t just give us a trip. It gave us stories, friendships, and memories we’ll carry for a lifetime.
